Sunset watching
The sunset at Dumas is genuinely stunning. Best viewed between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Plan to leave by 7 PM when the beach closes.
Morning walk and jogging
Morning is the best time to visit. The beach is calm, uncrowded and the sea breeze is refreshing. A hard sand track runs the full length of the shore.
Street food
The famous Lashkari Tomato Bhajiya is the must-try. Also available: Pav Bhaji, Maggi, Makai Bhel, sweet corn and more. Note: food prices are higher than in Surat city.
Dariya Ganesh Temple
A beloved historic temple located right next to the beach. Most visitors combine a beach trip with prayers here. Peaceful and worth a visit.
Haunted history

Parking at Dumas Beach
Parking is currently one of the biggest challenges at Dumas Beach, especially on weekends and evenings. The roads leading to the beach are narrow and traffic jams are common after 5 PM.
On weekends and public holidays, parking fills up completely. Many people end up parking on the roadside which causes long traffic jams on the narrow access road.
If visiting in the evening, plan to leave before 5 PM to avoid getting stuck in the exit traffic. After 5 PM it becomes very difficult to get your vehicle out.
Coming by your own vehicle is still the most convenient option. Arrive before 9 AM on weekdays for easy parking and a peaceful experience.
Multi-level parking is part of the upcoming SMC development plan. The situation is expected to improve significantly once completed.
